Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example], Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers). And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season; Its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity]. (Psalm 1:1,3 AMP)
How great is Your goodness, Which You have stored up for those who [reverently] fear You, Which You have prepared for those who take refuge in You, Before the sons of man! Be strong and let your hearts take courage, All you who wait for and confidently expect the LORD. (Psalm 31:19,24 AMP)
For You have heard my vows, O God; You have given me the inheritance of those who fear Your name [with reverence]. (Psalm 61:5 AMP)
I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust [with great confidence, and on whom I rely]!” (Psalm 91:2 AMP)
The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in [everything that you do] From this time forth and forever. (Psalm 121:8 AMP)

This will be a time and an opportunity for you to testify [about Me]. So make up your minds not to prepare beforehand to defend yourselves; for I will give you [skillful] words and wisdom which none of your opponents will be able to resist or refute. By your [patient] endurance [empowered by the Holy Spirit] you will gain your souls. (Luke 21:13-15,19 AMP)
Then they will see THE SON OF MAN COMING IN A CLOUD with [transcendent, overwhelming] power [subduing the nations] and with great glory. Now when these things begin to occur, stand tall and lift up your heads [in joy], because [suffering ends as] your redemption is drawing near.” (Luke 21:27-28 AMP)

# The Lord’s Day
But in accordance with His promise we expectantly await new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. So, beloved, since you are looking forward to these things, be diligent and make every effort to be found by Him [at His return] spotless and blameless, in peace [that is, inwardly calm with a sense of spiritual well-being and confidence, having lived a life of obedience to Him].* And consider the **patience of our Lord [** His delay in judging and avenging wrongs] **as salvation [that is, allowing time for more to be saved]; just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given to him [by God], *(2 Peter 3:13-15 AMP)
Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this household, because he, too, is a [spiritual] son of Abraham; for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:9 -10 AMP)
“By changing both his old way of thinking and his behavior Zaccheus proved that his faith in God was real.”
“For thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I, I myself will search for my sheep and will seek them out. (Ezekiel 34:11, ESV)
I will seek the lost, and I will bring back the strayed, and I will bind up the injured, and I will strengthen the weak, and the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them in justice. (Ezekiel 34:16, ESV)
“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? (Luke 15:4, ESV)

# Promise of God
But He said, “The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.” Peter said, “Look, we have left all [things-homes, families, businesses] and followed You.” And He said to them, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God, who will not receive many times as much in this present age and in the age to come, eternal life.” (Luke 18:27-30 AMP)
But he did not doubt or waver in unbelief concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and empowered by faith, giving glory to God, being fully convinced that God had the power to do what He had promised. (Romans 4:20-21 AMP)
Once more Jesus addressed the crowd. He said, “I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” (John 8:12 AMP)
But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right-the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.
(Matthew 6:33 AMP)

# Intention and Affection
Now having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He replied, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed or with a visible display; nor will people say, ‘Look! Here it is!’ or, ‘There it is!’ For the kingdom of God is among you [because of My presence].” (Luke 17:20-21AMP)
Jesus answered, “If anyone [really] loves Me, he will keep My word (teaching); and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling place with him. (John 14:23 AMP)
For here we have no lasting city, but we are seeking the city which is to come.(Hebrews 13:14 AMP)
“He is truly wise who knows things as they are and not as they seem or are said to be, who is taught by God more than man.” The Inward Life – Thomas A Kempis
“Simplicity and purity are the two wings by which man is lifted above earthly things.” Intention — Affection
A Pure Mind and Simple Intention — Thomas A Kempis
With all my heart I have sought You, [inquiring of You and longing for You]; Do not let me wander from Your commandments [neither through ignorance nor by willful disobedience]. I will meditate on Your precepts And [thoughtfully] regard Your ways [the path of life established by Your precepts]. (Psalm 119:10,15 AMP)
They entered into a covenant (solemn agreement) to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and soul; All Judah rejoiced over the oath, for they had sworn with all their heart and had sought Him with their whole heart, and He let them find Him. So the LORD gave them rest on every side. (2 Chronicles 15:12,15 AMP)
“All that is required is the intention to love God and the purity of heart to do so.” A Pure Mind and Simple Intention — Thomas A Kempis

# The Joy of Forgiveness
You are my hiding place; You, LORD, protect me from trouble; You surround me with songs and shouts of deliverance. Selah. [11] Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous [who actively seek right standing with Him]; Shout for joy, all you upright in heart. (Psalm 32:7,11 AMP)
The LORD also will be a refuge and a stronghold for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble; (Psalm 9:9 AMP)
“The LORD is my strength and my song, And He has become my salvation; This is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him. (Exodus 15:2 AMP)
The righteous will rejoice in the LORD and take refuge in Him; All the upright in heart will glory and offer praise. (Psalm 64:10 AMP)
But let the righteous be glad; let them be in good spirits before God, Yes, let them rejoice with delight. (Psalm 68:3 AMP)
Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous ones [those whose moral and spiritual integrity places them in right standing with God], And praise and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. (Psalm 97:12 AMP)
“He who sincerely labors for spiritual profit will receive and bear all things laid upon him with grace. Remember our goal at all times, and remember: time which is lost is not returned later. You will never get virtue without care and diligence.” The Imitation of Christ – Thomas A Kempis

For we [believers will be called to account and] must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be repaid for what has been done in the body, whether good or bad [that is, each will be held responsible for his actions, purposes, goals, motives-the use or misuse of his time, opportunities and abilities]. (2 Corinthians 5:10 AMP)
It is a fearful and terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God [incurring His judgment and wrath]. (Hebrews 10:31AMP)
I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return]. (Philippians 1:6 AMP)
For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory and majesty of His Father with His angels, and THEN HE WILL REPAY EACH ONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH WHAT HE HAS DONE. (Matthew 16:27 AMP)

They do no unrighteousness; They walk in His ways.Β  Then I will not be ashamed When I look [with respect] to all Your commandments [as my guide]. (Psalm 119:3,6 AMP)

Then you will have delight in the Almighty, And you will lift up your face to God. (Job 22:26 AMP)

Now, little children (believers, dear ones), remain in Him [with unwavering faith], so that when He appears [at His return], we may have [perfect] confidence and not be ashamed and shrink away from Him at His coming. (1 John 2:28 AMP)

No one who is born of God [deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin, because God’s seed [His principle of life, the essence of His righteous character] remains [permanently] in him [who is born again-who is reborn from above-spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose]; and he [who is born again] cannot habitually [live a life characterized by] sin, because he is born of God and longs to please Him. (1 John 3:9 AMP)

We know [with confidence] that anyone born of God does not habitually sin; but He (Jesus) who was born of God [carefully] keeps and protects him, and the evil one does not touch him. (1 John 5:18 AMP)

How blessed and favored by God are those whose way is blameless [those with personal integrity, the upright, the guileless], Who walk in the law [and who are guided by the precepts and revealed will] of the LORD. (Psalm 119:1 AMP)

You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and mind and with all your soul and with all your strength [your entire being]. (Deuteronomy 6:5 AMP)

“And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require from you, but to fear [and worship] the LORD your God [with awe-filled reverence and profound respect], to walk [that is, to live each and every day] in all His ways and to love Him, and to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul [your choices, your thoughts, your whole being], (Deuteronomy 10:12 AMP)

“It shall come about, if you listen obediently and pay attention to My commandments which I command you today – to love the LORD your God and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul [your choices, your thoughts, your whole being]- (Deuteronomy 11:13 AMP)

you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams; for the LORD your God is testing you to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and mind and all your soul [your entire being].  (Deuteronomy 13:3 AMP)

Blessed (happy, prosperous, to be admired) and holy is the person who takes part in the first resurrection; over these the second death [which is eternal separation from God, the lake of fire] has no power or authority, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and they will reign with Him a thousand years.

And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the Book of Life; and the dead were judged according to what they had done as written in the books [that is, everything done while on earth]. (Revelation 20:6,12 AMP)

“20:6 Blessed. This is the fifth of the seven beatitudes in Revelation . All look forward to life with Christ beyond the first resurrection (v. 5). Resurrection is assured for all believers. But the blessedness mentioned here belongs more precisely to those martyrs who will have a part as rulers with Christ in the first resurrection.”

since all have sinned and continually fall short of the glory of God, (Romans 3:23 AMP)

For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God; not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation]. (Ephesians 2:8-9 AMP)
