# The Joy of Forgiveness
You are my hiding place; You, LORD, protect me from trouble; You surround me with songs and shouts of deliverance. Selah. [11] Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous [who actively seek right standing with Him]; Shout for joy, all you upright in heart. (Psalm 32:7,11 AMP)
The LORD also will be a refuge and a stronghold for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble; (Psalm 9:9 AMP)
“The LORD is my strength and my song, And He has become my salvation; This is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him. (Exodus 15:2 AMP)
The righteous will rejoice in the LORD and take refuge in Him; All the upright in heart will glory and offer praise. (Psalm 64:10 AMP)
But let the righteous be glad; let them be in good spirits before God, Yes, let them rejoice with delight. (Psalm 68:3 AMP)
Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous ones [those whose moral and spiritual integrity places them in right standing with God], And praise and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. (Psalm 97:12 AMP)
“He who sincerely labors for spiritual profit will receive and bear all things laid upon him with grace. Remember our goal at all times, and remember: time which is lost is not returned later. You will never get virtue without care and diligence.” The Imitation of Christ – Thomas A Kempis

For we [believers will be called to account and] must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be repaid for what has been done in the body, whether good or bad [that is, each will be held responsible for his actions, purposes, goals, motives-the use or misuse of his time, opportunities and abilities]. (2 Corinthians 5:10 AMP)
It is a fearful and terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God [incurring His judgment and wrath]. (Hebrews 10:31AMP)
I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return]. (Philippians 1:6 AMP)
For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory and majesty of His Father with His angels, and THEN HE WILL REPAY EACH ONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH WHAT HE HAS DONE. (Matthew 16:27 AMP)
(John 5:22-31; Matthew 25:32-46)

They do no unrighteousness; They walk in His ways. Then I will not be ashamed When I look [with respect] to all Your commandments [as my guide]. (Psalm 119:3,6 AMP)
Then you will have delight in the Almighty, And you will lift up your face to God. (Job 22:26 AMP)
Now, little children (believers, dear ones), remain in Him [with unwavering faith], so that when He appears [at His return], we may have [perfect] confidence and not be ashamed and shrink away from Him at His coming. (1 John 2:28 AMP)
No one who is born of God [deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin, because God’s seed [His principle of life, the essence of His righteous character] remains [permanently] in him [who is born again-who is reborn from above-spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose]; and he [who is born again] cannot habitually [live a life characterized by] sin, because he is born of God and longs to please Him. (1 John 3:9 AMP)
We know [with confidence] that anyone born of God does not habitually sin; but He (Jesus) who was born of God [carefully] keeps and protects him, and the evil one does not touch him. (1 John 5:18 AMP)

How blessed and favored by God are those whose way is blameless [those with personal integrity, the upright, the guileless], Who walk in the law [and who are guided by the precepts and revealed will] of the LORD. (Psalm 119:1 AMP)
You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and mind and with all your soul and with all your strength [your entire being]. (Deuteronomy 6:5 AMP)
“And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require from you, but to fear [and worship] the LORD your God [with awe-filled reverence and profound respect], to walk [that is, to live each and every day] in all His ways and to love Him, and to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul [your choices, your thoughts, your whole being], (Deuteronomy 10:12 AMP)
“It shall come about, if you listen obediently and pay attention to My commandments which I command you today – to love the LORD your God and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul [your choices, your thoughts, your whole being]- (Deuteronomy 11:13 AMP)
you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams; for the LORD your God is testing you to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and mind and all your soul [your entire being]. (Deuteronomy 13:3 AMP)

Blessed (happy, prosperous, to be admired) and holy is the person who takes part in the first resurrection; over these the second death [which is eternal separation from God, the lake of fire] has no power or authority, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and they will reign with Him a thousand years.
And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the Book of Life; and the dead were judged according to what they had done as written in the books [that is, everything done while on earth]. (Revelation 20:6,12 AMP)
“20:6 Blessed. This is the fifth of the seven beatitudes in Revelation . All look forward to life with Christ beyond the first resurrection (v. 5). Resurrection is assured for all believers. But the blessedness mentioned here belongs more precisely to those martyrs who will have a part as rulers with Christ in the first resurrection.”
since all have sinned and continually fall short of the glory of God, (Romans 3:23 AMP)
For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God; not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation]. (Ephesians 2:8-9 AMP)

Gospel Unity
Make every effort to keep the oneness of the Spirit in the bond of peace [each individual working together to make the whole successful]. (Ephesians 4:3 AMP)
Beyond all these things put on and wrap yourselves in [unselfish] love, which is the perfect bond of unity [for everything is bound together in agreement when each one seeks the best for others]. (Colossians 3:14 AMP)
I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too are to love one another. By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you have love and unselfish concern for one another.” (John 13:34-35 AMP)
Understanding our freedom in Christ; live and be seen as having attitudes and actions of personal and willing acceptance of other persons.
Therefore, [continue to] accept and welcome one another, just as Christ has accepted and welcomed us to the glory of [our great] God. (Romans 15:7 AMP)
From His mouth comes a sharp sword (His word) with which He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He will tread the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty [in judgment of the rebellious world]. (Revelation 19:15 AMP)
For you, my brothers, were called to freedom; only do not let your freedom become an opportunity for the sinful nature (worldliness, selfishness), but through love serve and seek the best for one another. For the whole Law [concerning human relationships] is fulfilled in one precept, “YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF [that is, you shall have an unselfish concern for others and do things for their benefit].” But if you bite and devour one another [in bickering and strife], watch out that you [along with your entire fellowship] are not consumed by one another. But I say, walk habitually in the [Holy] Spirit [seek Him and be responsive to His guidance], and then you will certainly not carry out the desire of the sinful nature [which responds impulsively without regard for God and His precepts]. A Beatitude
(“Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is he who stays awake and who keeps his clothes [that is, stays spiritually ready for the Lord’s return], so that he will not be naked-spiritually unprepared-and men will not see his shame.”) (Revelation 16:15 AMP)
Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near. (Revelation 1:3, ESV)
Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you. (Revelation 3:3, ESV)
16:15 Blessed. This is the third of seven beatitudes in Revelation (see note after 14:13). Jesus warned believers to be vigilant because of the unexpected timing of His return (Mt 24:43–44). The warning to watch is a reminder of the parable of the ten virgins (Mt 25:1–13) who were told to “Therefore, be on the alert [be prepared and ready], for you do not know the day nor the hour.”
Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into. Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. (Matthew 24:42-44, ESV)
And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his coming. (1 John 2:28, ESV)

And they sang the song of Moses, the bond-servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and wonderful and awe-inspiring are Your works [in judgment], O Lord God, the Almighty [the Omnipotent, the Ruler of all]; Righteous and true are Your ways, O King of the nations! “Who will not fear [reverently] and glorify Your name, O Lord [giving You honor and praise in worship]? For You alone are holy; For ALL THE NATIONS SHALL COME AND WORSHIP BEFORE YOU, FOR YOUR RIGHTEOUS ACTS [Your just decrees and judgments] HAVE BEEN REVEALED and DISPLAYED.” (Revelation 15:3-4 AMP)
This song was sung by Jews in their Sabbath gatherings, as well as by early Christians at Easter. song of the Lamb. The song of the Lamb celebrates the finished work of God, when all of His righteous acts have been revealed, from creation to atonement to judgment.

Your Word Is A Lamp To My Feet
Then Jesus said to them, “O foolish men, and slow of heart to trust and believe in everything that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and [only then to] enter His glory?” Then beginning with Moses and [throughout] all the [writings of the] prophets, He explained and interpreted for them the things referring to Himself [found] in all the Scriptures. (Luke 24:25-27 AMP)
Then He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you, everything which has been written about Me in the Law of Moses and the [writings of the] Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” Then He opened their minds to [help them] understand the Scriptures, and said, “And so it is written, that the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed) would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and that repentance [necessary] for forgiveness of sins would be preached in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. (Luke 24:44-47 AMP)
You search and keep on searching and examining the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and yet it is those [very Scriptures] that testify about Me; For if you believed and relied on [the Scriptures written by] Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me [personally]. (John 5:39,46 AMP)

Christ In The Psalms
Jesus is Lord of the covenant, the Psalms are sung to Him, and since Jesus is Servant of the covenant, the psalms are sung by Him. Jesus is therefore above us as the One to whom we sing, and Jesus is beside us as the One who sings with us in all of life’s experiences.
The Book of Psalms Introduction – The Reformation Study Bible
Both Jesus who sanctifies and those who are sanctified [that is, spiritually transformed, made holy, and set apart for God’s purpose] are all from one Father; for this reason He is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters, saying, “I WILL DECLARE YOUR (the Father’s) NAME TO MY BRETHREN (believers), IN THE MIDST OF THE CONGREGATION I WILL SING YOUR PRAISE.” And again [He says], “MY TRUST and CONFIDENT HOPE WILL BE PLACED IN HIM.” And again, “HERE I AM, I AND THE CHILDREN WHOM GOD HAS GIVEN ME.” (Hebrews 2:11-13 AMP)
For he has said, “I will reveal who you really are to my brothers and sisters, and I will glorify you with praises in the midst of the congregation.” And, “My confidence rests in God!” And again he says, “Here I am, one with the children Yahweh has given me.” (Hebrews 2:12-13 TPT)
So be made strong even in your weakness by lifting up your tired hands in prayer and worship. And strengthen your weak knees, for as you keep walking forward on God’s paths all your stumbling ways will be divinely healed! (Hebrews 12:12-13 TPT)
Here is [encouragement for] the steadfast endurance of the saints (God’s people), those who habitually keep God’s commandments and their faith in Jesus. (Revelation 14:12 AMP)
I, John, your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patient endurance which are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos, [exiled there] because of [my preaching of] the word of God [regarding eternal salvation] and the testimony of Jesus Christ. (Revelation 1:9 AMP)
