“Truly I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons and daughters of men, and whatever blasphemies they commit; but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”- because they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.” (Mark 3:28-30 NASB)
Mark 3:28-30 whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit. This person places himself or herself outside the redeeming grace of God. It is apparently not a single act of defiant behavior, but a continued state of opposition entered into willingly. The tense of “they said” indicates a continued action, not a one time event. The words and works of Christ were spoken and performed by the power of the Holy Spirit. To attribute them to Satan is to call the work of heaven a work of hell. For such perverse belief there is no remedy. How someone can commit this sin today is a difficult question to answer, but those who persist in denigrating Christ by insulting His work or by attributing it to Satan may drive themselves past a point of no return Matthew 12:31-32
“Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.
(Matthew 12:31-32 NASB)

And He went out again by the seashore; and all the people were coming to Him, and He was teaching them.
(Mark 2:13 NASB)
But he went out and began to proclaim it freely and to spread the news around,* to such an extent that Jesus could no longer publicly enter a city, but stayed out in unpopulated areas; **and they were coming to Him from everywhere. *(Mark 1:45 NASB)
> “He was teaching them. Jesus regularly taught the multitudes in retreat settings. This is indicated by the continuous tense of the verbs used here. They kept on coming and Jesus kept on teaching.”

and saying, “The [appointed period of] time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, regret past sins, live your life in a way that proves repentance; seek God’s purpose for your life] and believe [with a deep, abiding trust] in the good news [regarding salvation].” (Mark 1:15 AMP)

For [you seem willing to allow it] if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted. You tolerate all this beautifully [welcoming the deception]. Or did I [perhaps] sin by humbling myself so that you might be exalted and honored, because I preached God’s gospel to you free of charge? (2 Corinthians 11:4,7 AMP)
What, then, is my reward? That, when I preach the gospel, I may offer the gospel without charge, so as not to make full use of my right in the gospel. (1 Corinthians 9:18 NASB)

# Saint and Sinner
We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ, (2 Corinthians 10:5 AMP)
##### Heidelberg Catechism Q \& A 60
Q. How are you righteous before God?
A. Only by true faith in Jesus Christ.^1^
Even though my conscience accuses me of having grievously sinned against all God’s commandments, of never having kept any of them,^2^ and of still being inclined toward all evil,^3^ nevertheless, without any merit of my own,^4^ out of sheer grace,^5^ God grants and credits to me the perfect satisfaction, righteousness, and holiness of Christ,^6^ as if I had never sinned nor been a sinner, and as if I had been as perfectly obedient as Christ was obedient for me.^7^ All I need to do is accept this gift with a believing heart.^8^

Westminster Confession of Faith
5. In the fullness of his wisdom, righteousness, and grace God often allows his own children to be tempted in various ways and for a time to pursue the corruption of their own hearts. God does this to chastise them for their previous sins and to reveal to them the hidden strength of corruption and deceitfulness in their hearts, so that they may be humbled.18 In addition to various other just and holy results, believers are thereby raised to a closer and more constant dependence on God for their support and are also made more alert in detecting and resisting opportunities to sin.19

Imitate me, just as I imitate Christ.
(1 Corinthians 11:1 AMP)
Nevertheless, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. For as the woman originates from the man, so also man is born through the woman; and all things [whether male or female] originate from God [as their Creator]. (1 Corinthians 11:11-12 AMP)
For I received from the Lord Himself that [instruction] which I passed on to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is (represents) My body, which is* [offered as a sacrifice] **for you. Do this in** [affectionate] **remembrance of Me.”** In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, **”This cup is the new covenant** [ratified and established] **in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in** [affectionate] **remembrance of Me.” For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are [symbolically] proclaiming [the fact of] the Lord’s death until He comes [again]. *(1 Corinthians 11:23-26 AMP)
But a person must [prayerfully] examine himself [and his relationship to Christ], and only when he has done so should he eat of the bread and drink of the cup. (1 Corinthians 11:28 AMP)
But when we [fall short and] are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined [by undergoing His correction] so that we will not be condemned [to eternal punishment] along with the world.(1 Corinthians 11:32 AMP)

and all [of them] ate the same spiritual food; and all [of them] drank the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from a spiritual rock which followed them; and the rock was Christ. (1 Corinthians 10:3-4 AMP)
Therefore let the one who thinks he stands firm [immune to temptation, being overconfident and self-righteous], take care that he does not fall [into sin and condemnation]. (1 Corinthians 10:12 AMP)
The one who is taught the word [of God] is to share all good things with his teacher [contributing to his spiritual and material support]. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked [He will not allow Himself to be ridiculed, nor treated with contempt nor allow His precepts to be scornfully set aside]; for whatever a man sows, this and this only is what he will reap. (Galatians 6:6-7 AMP)
No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance]; but God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy], and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist], but along with the temptation He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well, so that you will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy]. Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Your speech must always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person. (Colossians 4:5-6 NASB)
